Meet the Team

Dillon is a senior studying Math and Computer Science. Last summer, he was a Generator Resident assisting with the launch of Plan A by the AI Futures Project. Before that, he did interpretability research on personas for the Stanford NLP Group and optimized data infrastructure at Meta. He's most concerned with loss of control risks from AI, but also finds concentration of power and misuse threats deeply worrying. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading blog posts, and waltzing in Roble 113.

Jacob would have been a junior this year, but he's taking a leave of absence to pursue AI safety full-time! This past summer, he was a Technical Governance Fellow at MIRI. He has also dabbled in mechanistic interpretability research (with Cambridge AI Safety Hub's MARS program) and political advocacy for AI safety. He enjoys biking, Taylor Swift, and experiencing unusual things; in a past life, he was a prolific puzzle creator who once solved seven wordles in 17 seconds.

Zach is a junior studying international relations. He's solo-traveled China to interview diplomats, business leaders, and journalists about AI. He helped executives implement the technology at BCG. Recently he founded Mangrove, a platform connecting 250+ people to AI safety projects. By night, he markets a lemonade stand.

Xiaoyao is a sophomore studying CS and trying to choose between IR/Philo/Psych. He gravitates intellectually towards alignment training, but because we're struggling to measure alignment, he's focused on propensity evaluations at present. Currently, he is working with Second Look Research to replicate papers which have shifted bets in safety research, and constructing a corrigibility benchmark with a BlueDot rapid grant. He is also building context in China-US coordination, and is particularly excited about track II dialogue. In a previous life, he was a debater of Team China and a published historian of queerness in 20th century China.

Lily is a sophomore studying Design (AI & UX track) with a minor in Symbolic Systems (HCI). As SAGA's creative generalist, she works across marketing, growth, events, and design. She loves technology but is concerned about how quickly AI is developing and how it may drive people apart. Outside SAGA, she is the founding designer and CMO of dazi, a social app that helps people meet in real life through low-pressure, activity-based gatherings. In her free time, she sails, makes art, and goes to the gym.
