Ever wondered why AIs perform unsanctioned cyberattacks, act sycophantic, or even try to kill people in simulated environments? If so, this is the event for you! We'll have a guided discussion of foundational research in AI alignment, learn the fundamental unsolved problems behind AI misbehavior, and discuss some ways to classify and address these problems. Aric Floyd is the face of AI in Context, a Youtube channel with over 435k subscribers and 20 million views. He was the lead in the viral AI 2027 explainer video and a Stanford alum.
